“Clay & Canvas” features the paintings and pottery of six local artists: Janet Anderson, Michelle Barkway, Sonia Lesage, Lisa Riehl, Marcela Strasdas and Ester Strijbos. This collaborative exhibition brings together earth and pigment, the functional and the ornamental, the potters and the painters. Built on the material foundations of clay and canvas, the show is inspired by a deep connection to life on the west coast and a community dedicated to showcasing its natural beauty through their individual artistic styles. Featuring a curated selection of original landscape and floral paintings, and one of a kind pottery pieces, “Clay & Canvas” offers the viewer an opportunity to view the Pacific Northwest through six different sets of eyes.
The ArtSea Gallery is situated at Tulista Park, along the beautiful waterfront walkway in Sidney, BC.
