The Sunset Suite in Whaletown is one of Cortes Island’s newest short term accommodation available year round. This is an ideal vacation rental for anyone who loves the sea and the beauty of the British Columbia Coast. (The store closed in 2006 and was renovated into the new suite)
This spacious bright two-bedroom suite is comfortable, clean and modern. You will find a bright living room, which opens on to an expansive sea deck. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped, which allows you the freedom to prepare your own meals if desired. If you want to treat yourself and dine out, the Floathouse Restaurant is a 5 minute drive and serves the best food on the island.

There are two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and one with a double bed and two fully equipped bathrooms (one en-suite). The suite has it’s own entrance. There is a (pull-out) sofa bed in the living room for extra guests.
It is just a few steps from the Whaletown Government Dock and across the bay from the ferry landing. Those who arrive in their own boat or bring one with them will find moorage at their door step.

The suite has a large deck, where you can look out past Quadra Island to the snow-capped mountains of Vancouver Island. The constantly changing maritime scene will provide hours of interest. At the end of the day you can sit back and watch the sun set over the mountains of Vancouver Island. The suite is wheelchair accessible, it has satellite tv/stereo, a microwave, a BBQ on the deck and internet access (dial-up). The suite weekly rental is from Saturday to Saturday (check-in 16:00, check-out 11:00)
RATES 2008
All rates are based on a weekly rental and 4 guests.
High season: $1175.00 - July 1 to September 3
Shoulder season: $900.00 - May 1 to June 30
Low season: $80 per day - minimum 3 days

Cortes Island has great beaches, walking trails, restaurants, shops, a museum, and the Manson’s Landing Community Hall that houses; the Post Office, Cortes Cafe, a branch of the Vancouver Island Library, North Island College, Playschool, Thrift Store, Cortes Island Co-op Radio and much more.
